Legislation
American Border Control supports legislation that will increase
the scrutiny on our ports of entry, increasing the chances that
COSCO will be caught red handed again engaging in illegal
activities, leading to their expulsion from Pier J in Long
Beach, California.

Mission and History of American
Border Control
A Call to Action
In the 1990's, controversy arose over COSCO's (China Ocean Shipping Company)
bid to lease the old Naval Air Station
in Long Beach, California for pier operations. COSCO is a
Red Chinese owned-and -controlled enterprise. Early on, two strong
leaders in Congress arose to combat this threat to America's
vital national security interests: Senator James Inhofe and
Congressman Duncan Hunter.
Congressional Action
Our group followed the lead of these
and other visionary Congressional leaders. They took
tremendous heat for
standing up for our national port security against the will of
the Clinton Administration (whose consciences were informed by
illegal campaign donations funneled in by the Chinese.) Our
organization supported those Congressional efforts through
massive grassroots education, mobilization and petition drives.
We were successful in stopping the takeover of the
faculties at the Naval Air station.
Clinton Violates Will of Congress
However, the Clinton Administration
was able to circumvent the will of Congress and enabled Red
China-controlled COSCO to become ensconced at Pier J instead.
COSCO at Pier J presents the same national security challenges
as its location at the former Naval Air Station does.
In the aftermath of 09/11/2001, our
group's leadership decided that we needed to get involved in the
fight to get the American Government to secure our port facilities.
We could not remain on the sidelines in this battle.
Western Conservative Conference
At the 2002 Western Conservative
Conference (Now the American Leadership Conference) we
decided to form the US Seaport Commission to advocate for port
security measures including the eviction of COSCO from Pier J.
Our first Executive Director was conservative talk radio show
host John Stoos of California. Stoos rallied tens of
thousands of people to urge Congress to oust COSCO from its
beachhead at Pier J in Long Beach, California.
Talk Radio
Stoos called countless times
for policies that protect America's vital national
interests on his talk radio program. Stoos'
very capable leadership
helped launched the group into a very favorable position on the
issue of port security.
On the Hill
Once again Representative Hunter and Senator Inhofe stand tall on
the issue of American Border Control. Border control has
now become the issue of the day for America.
Tom Tancredo
Along with other leaders such as Tom Tancredo (our speaker at
the Western Conservative Conference) they present a
clear vision of America as a sovereign nation with secure borders
and port facilities. National security is at the forefront of American
politics once again. No one has taken more heat from the liberal
media for trying to secure America's borders than Representative
Tancredo. Yet, he remains an incredibly effective advocate for
secure borders. We follow in the footsteps of this
leadership on the issue of border control.
Jon Moseley Appointed
John Stoos appointed as his replacement our current Executive Director Jon Moseley.
Moseley is a
conservative leader and attorney with specific expertise in the
area of illegal immigration and port security. With
Moseley's expertise and leadership in play,
our mission has now broadened to include illegal immigration and border control, hence
our new name American Border Control.
Congress: Listen to the People
The American people are demanding that their
leaders act to protect them from what amounts to another stealth
invasion, this time coming from the Southern border with Mexico.
American Border Control pledges to rise to these new challenges
and fight for America's
sovereignty, border integrity and seaport security.

Senator James Inhofe's 1999 Statement on COSCO (China Ocean Shipping
Company)
"COSCO is not a benign private commercial
enterprise. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of China's People's
Liberation Army. It serves as the merchant marine of the Chinese
military, and there is every reason to believe it will do their
bidding in terms of smuggling, intelligence-gathering and weapons
shipments. Considering China's long-term ambitions for superpower
status in the next century, it would be foolish for America to
surrender control of a strategically located West Coast port to an
arm of the Chinese military."
Editors note: COSCO issued stock in 2005, but
the Government of China still owns 51 percent of the shares.
This gives Communist China 100 percent control of the "private"
enterprise.
